the Computer Lab Correctly - Use them
properly and keep them safe
a) Guidelines for your Safety
- Don’t’ touch the devices when wires and sockets are connected
- Should be aware of fire extinguishers
- Should be aware of exit doors of the ICT lab
- Avoid running and play inside the ICT Lab

- Don’t supply power to device without correct instructions
- Keep the ICT lab equipment clean and tidy
- All the equipment must be switched off properly after use.
- Used equipment should be placed in the proper place.
- Remove footwear outside the lab
- Avoid taking food, water or other liquid into ICT lab
- Virus Scanning should be done when connecting external devices

1. Supply
Electricity to the computer by turn on the Switch
2. Turn on
the UPS (Uninterrupted power supply)
3. Switch on
the System Unit
4. Finally
Switch on the Monitor
Shutdown
the Computer Correctly
1. Close all
the programmes that opens
2. Then Click
the Shutdown commands
3. Switch off
the power ON/OFF button of the monitor
4. Switch off
the UPS and the Wall Switch

- Always keep the computer screen at the level of your eyes
- Keep a distance 18 and 28 inches between eyes and the computer
- Sit Straight by leaning on to the back of the chair
- Keep your legs vertically and place your feet on the ground
- Keep the keyboard and mouse at the level of your elbow
